Sadly the Toastmasters year comes to an end on 30 June, so White Rose Speakers has been reflecting on a fantastic year for the club.
Having only been a fully fledged Toastmasters club for 3 years, we have worked very hard and progressed rapidly over the last three years to the point that we will receive one of the highest accolades available for a Toastmaster club – that of being a “President’s Distinguished Club”.
The club achieved that by providing the best possible experience for our members, helping them to develop as communicators and leaders. We did so by letting members practice speaking in public in a safe, supportive, and above all non-judgmental environment.
The new Toastmaster year starts on 1 July, with our first meeting being on Wednesday 8 July at 6.45pm for 7pm at the Jurys Inn.
Incoming President, Andy Nichols, says “If you want to build your confidence; practice public speaking; or just make some great friends, White Rose Speakers could be the place for you. We pride ourselves on the supportive, family like, feel to the club and will do our very best to help you achieve whatever goals you may have in relation to communication and leadership.”
If you want to see if White Rose Speakers is right for you, you can visit a meeting for free – we meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6.45pm at the Jurys Inn.
